Do You Love or Hate Your Homeowners Association? – Infographic
During my afternoon social media rounds, this from about Americas love/hate relationship with the Homeowners Association, caught my attention. Why you ask? My wife and I are soon-to-be 1st time homeowners who will be paying homeowners association dues for the first time in our lives. I know many of you are interested in this topic as well, since there are many states where this is common practice, for all types of property.
How do we feel about paying this extra fee? After renting our home for the last couple of years, we are more than excited to be losing all of the yard maintenance, pool upkeep, and various other chores that require sacrificing our precious free time. We are more than willing to pay extra for all of these chores to be taken care of by someone else. In Arizona, especially during the summer, the pool maintenance alone costs more than our monthly homeowners association dues.
